This is going to be one of my go-tos for hot pot from now on. The price is affordable and worth the quality of the food as well. There's plenty of meat options, seafood, veggies, and a huge sauce bar. There's also a little "appetizer" and pastry section too. The service was good, nothing fru-fru over over the top, and the mood as loud but not overwhelming. There is usually a wait, so expect that.
I tried their AYCE hot pot and it was an overall decent experience. Got the medium broth and it was super spicy. Lack flavor but it was okay. The ingredients were fresh at the buffet area. especially the vegetables, which is always a plus. But the meat was frozen. Few good selection of sides to pick. The service was attentive. The staff were friendly. The ambiance was comfortable. Price is reasonable for what you pay for
It was really a surprise! First of all, the environment of the restaurant is very comfortable, spacious and bright, neat and clean, giving people a very relaxed feeling. Although it is a self-service form, the waiter has always been very careful and enthusiastic to help to ensure that we have a pleasant meal. The variety of ingredients in hot pot is very rich, including meat, seafood, vegetables, soy products, etc., and the freshness is very high, especially beef and mutton. The thin slices of meat are super tender, and it is very delicious after cooking. The seafood is also very fresh. Shrimp, squill and squid are all delicious, and it is full of fresh fragrance after a bite. Moreover, the ingredients are replenished in a timely manner, so you don't have to worry about empty plates. I especially like their self-service seasoning table. All kinds of sauces and ingredients can be freely matched, completely adjusted according to personal taste. Spicy or light taste can be as you like. The most surprising thing is the price! With this quality of ingredients and service, the price is really good value for money and super cost-effective! If you want to experience an affordable and delicious hot pot feast, I definitely recommend you to try this restaurant. In a word, I am very satisfied with the hot pot experience, and I will definitely come again next time!
I am a PiChaiYuan hot pot lover! The value is actually just so good! $17 for ayce hot pot is such an insane deal right now. Obviously at this price, you're not going to get A5 quality but their quality is not bad at all! I think it's still very yummy. They have so many options ranging from chicken wings, vegetables, seafood, tofu, juice, and more. I highly recommend their spicy broth and hot & sour soup. The only con I have is their broth can get really oily, where it covers your veges in oil. They also have an extensive sauce bar. The servers are attentive and clean up your table, add broth, and adjust the heat when needed! There's always such a long wait time so be prepared to put your name down and wait for a bit. There's lots of parking and a grocery store nearby if you want to shop while you wait.
We came here for a birthday party and the staff was extremely friendly! We were able to book a reservation since our party size was 6 and up. Our reservation was at 6 pm however half the party ended up being late and the restaurant was extremely accommodating. They were also willing to hold onto our cake until the very end. It is all you can eat and the price is extremely affordable. Note: birthdays do dine for free so that is a plus! There is a bar where you can grab your own vegetables and noodles along with little snacks like eggrolls and chicken wings. You also grab your own utensils and sauce.
Back again since they reopened and food is just as good as my last visit. Service is not as good as before, but still adequate and not much to complain about. They seem understaffed. Ambiance is still the same except now you have to get your own meet from the service counter when order combo A.
Food quality is what you pay for -- not bad at all but not amazing either. Can't complain about the price though! If it was just based on price & serviceI'd give it a 5. Option A was only 17$ for AYCE. We got the tomato and herbal broth, both of which were super flavorful but also had lots of msg. Meat is self serve for option A. They have sauce bars and hot food as well (like the chicken wings) Overall, no complaints but don't expect anything super quality.
Insanely cheap AYCE hot pot prices for both their lunch and dinner specials, especially if you choose their simplest A menu. Also open decently late at 1 AM too. Yes, it's cheap. Yes, it's open late. YES, there's unlimited teas (chrysanthemum, passionfruit, and a mysterious 3rd thing), comes with a sauce bar, and a snack/hot foods bar. Is it the cleanest most high quality place? LOL ABSOLUTELY NOT. But you're not here for that, you're here for everything else I've listed. Questionable cleanliness due to the self serve factor, floor is bizarrely slipper but not enough for you to fall, etc. But the staff does try their best to clear tables and clean up any messes and refill things as they happen. Their cheapest A menu comes with 2 different types of beef, lamb, chicken, and sliced pork belly, There are a couple different soup options, and you even have the option of getting 2 soups and there's no extra cost for any of the flavors. For the soup, we got the original broth and the hot and sour soup. Hot and sour was the fav as the original was a tad bland (fixed up quickly by adding in the cilantro and chopped chilies from the sauce bar). We ended up trying everything except the chicken. Pork is thinly sliced and boils white, but not bad. Most of our meat ended up being their beef and lamb, which is perfectly fine, but a couple seconds overcooked it becomes chewy. For veggies and other self serve items in the fridge there was various seafood, veggies (love the baby corn), tofu (tofu skin, fish tofu, etc.), quail eggs, corn on the cob, potato, kabocha pumpkin, etc. Just wish that they had full size chicken eggs. For the snacks/self serve hot and deli area there's seasoned peanuts, cucumber salad, tea eggs (I think...), fried buns and condensed milk, egg rolls, etc. Good amount of food to go with your non-hot pot meal. Servers were quick to grab dirty dishes and ask us if we needed more meat, as well as refill our broth. All in all a great place for super cheap AYCE hot pot later at night.
PiChaiYuan hotpot is so worth it. For AYCE, the price is so reasonable. With 3 tiers, the most expensive at $38 and least at $25 during dinner is great. My SO and I checked this spot out because we were disappointed that Hai Di Lao ends their AYCE after 5pm. Got here with a little wait but we were seated about 25ish mins or so after check in on their IPad. They were pretty attentive and kept everything in stock. You get to automatically choose 2 soup types, both of which were good and spicy. Even for mild spicy, it had a good kick, so be warned . Decent selection of seafood, veggies, drinks and other apps. You are allowed to order 3 plates of meat at a time. We stuck with the ribeye and enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're not looking to send $50+ per a person and just want that OG hotpot experience. The restaurant isn't the biggest but the parking lot is.
PiChaiYuan Hot Pot is AYCE Chinese hot pot place. Their soup base is less on the flavorful side as they emphasize on the taste of their meat and other items along with making your own dipping sauce. Their price is really reasonable for AYCE dinner price. Set A is $24.95 pp and Set B is $29.95 pp. The difference between each set is their quality/selection of red meat. Besides the beef, lamb, and chicken, the sets also include self-serve seafood (squid, clams, mussels), and veggies. Their service is very attentive and efficient. This restaurant is located in a plaza with ample amount of parking spots. Highly recommend!
